ANALISIS INDEKS KEPEKAAN LINGKUNGAN (IKL) PESISIR PANTAI TIMUR KABUPATEN TANJUNG JABUNG TIMUR – PROVINSI JAMBI TERHADAP POTENSI TUMPAHAN MINYAK

ABSTRAK

Kegiatan ekplorasi dan ekploitasi lepas pantai merupakan salah satu kegiatan yang dapat menimbulkan dampak pada pencemaran wilayah pesisir. Perairan pesisir pantai timur Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Timur merupakan salah satu daerah pesisir yang rawan terkena pencemaran minyak karena kawasan ini merupakan jalur pipa bawah laut. Dampak negatif jika terjadi tumpahan minyak di perairan pesisir pantai adalah rusak nya ekosistem pesisir seperti mangrove, hutan bakau dan padang lamun yang merupakan sumber nutrien, feeding, spawning dan nursery ground bagi biota laut. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meranking Indeks Kepekaan Lingkungan dan memetakan Indeks Kepekaan Lingkungan sebagai panduan langkah – langkah pencegahan dan penanganan tumpahan minyak melalui indikator nilai Indeks Kepekaan Lingkungan. Nilai Indeks Kepekaan Lingkungan di wiliayah pesisir timur Tanjung Jabung Timur tergolong tinggi (Peka – Sangat Peka). Daerah bersubstrat lumpur di Divisi 1, 2, 3 seluruhnya memiliki nilai kepekaan lingkungan maksimum yaitu Sangat Peka.

ABSTRACT

Offshore exploration and exploitation are activities that can impact the pollution of coastal area. East Tanjung Jabung Timur coastal area is one of area that is susceptive of oil spill contamination since this area is an underwater pipeline path. Oil spill could damage coastal ecosystem such as mangrove and seagrass which are nutrient source, feeding, spawning and nursery ground for sea organism. The aim of this research is to rank environmental sensitivity index and to map Environmental sensitivity index as a guidance to take steps and handle oil spill through the value of environmental sensitivity index indicator. East Tanjung Jabung coast environmental sensitivity index is categorized high (sensitive – very sensitive). All mud substrate area in division 1,2, and 3 are in maximum sensitivity state, very sensitive.
